And if want to get an edge on performance and your recovery you should check him out!

Hi I’m Conall Hoey; In a nutshell I help people feel better, move better and perform better.

I am a certified Athletic Rehabilitation therapist(A.R.T.C) and certified strength and conditioning coach with the NCSC Ireland. I studied for four years at Dublin City University where I specialized in injury and rehabilitation related to the musculoskeletal system.

Athletic Therapy specialises in musculoskeletal injuries related to physical activity. Such specialization allows graduates of Athletic Therapy to examine this area in great detail.

So what do I mean in great detail to physical activity?

Athletic therapists look at the whole picture of an athlete and player performance, implementing sports specific rehabilitation with aims of improving the strength, coordination, prevention strategies for future injury and more complete recovery times after an initial injury.

In addition to the athletic population within the four years of study Athletic Therapist also work with non-Athletic population.

Over the past four years I have had the some fantastic opportunities and experience to work in professional team environments from my time with Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C and at the top level of Gaelic Games.

I have worked with the DCU Sigerson team 2013,Dublin Minor squad 2014, Na Fianna ladies seniorchampionship winners 2014, and Geraldines GFC, St Vincent’s GAA and last year I was the Louth Minor team therapist and worked clinically in the Louth physiotherapy clinic in Dundalk.

I currently work in the Injury rehabilitation clinic with Fanning therapies Castle Bellingham and independently in my own private clinic and work daily with a diverse population of patients in addition to the sporting population.

I thoroughly enjoy what I do and have strong passion for sports and people’s health and also Human performance. I am always looking for ways to reduce the risk of injury in sports using evidence based strategies in prevention and rehabilitation and I am a strong advocate of evidence based practice. As a keen and dedicated sportsman I fully understand the desire and passion of all athletes, both those professional, and amateur alike for a quick return to fitness after an injury lay off, as well as their commitment and enthusiasm to remain in good physical condition.
