A week is a long time in football
and if you were a Louth footballer this was a dreadfully long week.
Our lads will be itching to get back in between those white lines to right the wrongs of last Sunday in Carrick on Shannon.
That is great news for Louth and manager Colin Kelly. Maybe that is why he delayed naming his side this week?
Pehaps so many lads were bulling to get on the teamsheet that training was red hot this week and he and Paddy Crozier needed a few more days to decide?
Suffice to say, it would be a no brainer to say there will be changes.
Change is good, bad for Carlow hopefully.
With one eye on the championship and the other on the league.
We should take two points, tons of notes on the opposition and try out players in potential scenarios against our championship opponents aswell.
Dr Cullen Park has been renamed or the naming rights were sold rather after security firm Netwatch bought them and is now called Netwatch Cullen Park when the new county grounds are built I’d like first dibs to buy the rights and call it The louthandProud.com county grounds!
