Preview
On paper,  its looks like a really strong side, going forward in particular has an especially potent look about it!

Alot of our players will have experience at this level too with 10 of the starting team playing against Meath last year (7started) and 6 have played senior for Louth!

It is the same full forward line as last year and that is where we will look to win the game.  The senior duo of Burns and Grimes will look to link up again and the more games they play together is better for Louth football as they build on their partnership. They’ll be well aided by the O’Connells duo of Cian Doyle and Robert Quigley.

While I am slightly worried that we have too many skillful players and not enough workers up front Eoghan lafferty who started last year at cornerback will look to sweep around the middle and link the play.

The two Faulkners at wingback are ones to watch…. Ardee man Karl at left half and Barry at right half set the senior championship alight last year for the Dreadnots driving forward with his left footed solo runs.

The brides triangle in the full back line and goals means communication will not be a problem back there and Ciaran Ward who won the Sigerson with DCU the weekend will be raring for action.

I don’t know what Carlow are like but it’s about us in the first round and how we perform.
If we do click, I think we’ll get the win.

Best of Luck lads

I’ll be there later with a live match feed so do tune in if you can’t make the clans for 7.30 throw in!
