The Juniors played Meath and lost 2-11 to 16

winning by 5 with 7 minutes to go…complete sickner

Meath hammered poor Carlow the last day out while we got over Cavan after extra time thanks to Ronan Holdcroft.
We’ll look to the Termonfechin man again tonight to lead the line.

Having lost a few from the senior panel recently, Colin Kelly will certainly look to promote a few players from the junior set up for the Leitrim qualifier game.

Of which, there is loads of contenders to possibly step up.

Lenehan, McComish, McSorley, Lynch and O’Connor have been mentioned before.

Bernard Mulligan at full back could be a direct replacement for departed Paddy Reilly.
Look out for Conall McKeever from the Clans too, he’s in flying form at the moment.
and
Gers duo of Jim McEneaney and Michael Rogers around the middle too certainly have the ability.

Meath will be Meath but hopefully we have enough to put one over the oul enemy

Best of Luck lads

Where was Tadhg Berkery for this game? Badly missed his energy, pass and power in the last 5 minutes, his dangly legs would’ve put fear into the meath team in the last few and surely would’ve resulted in a Louth victory
