Things are really hotting up…

All the intermediate Quarter finals are on this weekend, and half of the Junior quarters too not to mention Hurling tonight!

For people asking the ladies finals preview will be up Saturday!

Hurling over looked here and in the county in general but Darver tonight will have two excellent matches.
Pearse Og play Dundalk rivals Moinnine at 7pm while Champions Knockbridge will play the plucky underdogs St Fechins at 8.15pm
Both ties will be ferocious thats a guarantee…put it this way if you enjoyed the Tipp Galway game on the couch Sunday get out tonight and check it out.
send me in the scores as they come in please folks.

No Matches on Friday night

Preview: First Match sees this years surprise package Na Piarsaigh play the underachieving Joes. They met in the group last year and the Joes edged it due to Alan Quigley and I think he will be the key again. Actually the attacking power of Joes in general gives them my vote but as I’ve learned all year write off the black amber stripes at your peril!
Second Match: I’d love to know when the last time the Plunketts played in Dowdallshill, the minor final in 2003? as well as the venue I think the Plunketts will be up against it here as the Kilkerley trio of Hand, Lennon and McEneaney up front will be hard to handle at this level.
However, if the Mell men get enough out of Conor Early on the edge of the square a shock maybe on the cards.
Prediction: Joes and Kilkerley,

Preview: First game: Sadly this will be the end of the season for the Nicks but reaching the Quarter final is a fine feat for the Rathmullan men.
Second game I’m going against the grain of sorts here.
When I first looked at this match up I went for Westerns straightaway but upon reflection, I think Roche are better equipped. They are competing in a higher division than the Westies and ran the Finbarrs close last week while Glyde got one over the Westerns last week. To me, signs are pointing to boys in Blue.
Prediction: Glen Emmets and Roche

Preview: All these sides faced each other last weekend in the league with the Clans and Hunterstown winning really well! to me, that is not a good thing!
The losing sides will have that bit more between their teeth in training all week and will bring that intensity into the game itself.
However, for me to predict the Brides and Mochs to win would be just madness!
Gun to my head, I thought the Mochs would be the closest to overcoming the league result but Ryan Burns returning from the states settles my prediction decision for me.
Prediction: Clans and HTown
