in County

The day has finally arrived.

5pm in O’Moore Park, Portlaoise Our championship begins.

The sun is out. The Ground is hard. The balls are new.

Only thing left to tick is the championship haircut.

The excitement like the weeks temperature has risen all week.

It is now at boiling point.

way of the game

We are a very prepared team.
Each and every player knows the system of play and their role within that system.

Confidence is high in the camp, but that will count for very little if we don’t have our minds focused on the task at hand.

To counter that notion, we do have a lot of options off the bench.
The switches worked in the league final but hopefully we won’t be relying on that today.

Today is about continuing our good seasons momentum.

Be aware of the ambush.
By bringing a greater intensity to our play and rise to any challenge Carlow pose, quickly.
Don’t give them any hope.

If we do so we should be in for an enjoyable day/night/summer/year.

The race is on to be the second best team in Leinster.
We’re going to get off to a flyer!

Interesting Fact

Louth Legend Aaron Hoey made his debut against Carlow way back in 1997.
Were you there? Do you remember it?
