It’s Senior Final Day Folks!!!1jfcfinal(2)

Here’s my Preview

So I was going to write this preview last night, but I decided to wait until now and go with my gut on the morning of  actual gameday.

Like majority of people going to todays game I think the Pats are favorites and worthy ones at that…The way they took care of the Blues in the semi final is a strong indicator of where they are at but, the resolve Clogher showed in their semi final battle with Gaels shows that they are not there to make up the numbers. Thet learned advanced and the two games will bring them on to the right level to face the Pats today.

Finals are all about flushing the distractions out of your mind and concentrating on the task at hand. The Pats have been round the block and their experience was too much for Clogher in 2012. As Clogher will know the craic now and will have no excuses to not perform today.

The inside line of the Pats is highly dangerous, The two O’Connor and a roaming Eamonn Carroll, just to create extra space is a scary thought and the two O’Connors were excellent in 2012. Clogher need to Clog up that space because they will get a healthy supply as they have recently retired PK in the middle!

Does Colin Kelly, who’s freshness in his first year over Clogher after five under Paddy Clarke, has gotten a massive bounce out of the Dreadnots decide to take Liam Shevlin out of the forwards to pick up PK? Or does he get Dermot Campbell to do it? Shevlin in the forwards gives Clogher more scoring power and been key all season pushed up. So I expect Dermot to pick Keenan up.

All finals are on ther day and it’s usually a goal from a unexpected source like Kerry last week an early goal from Geaney so who’s going to be our man with the goals today?
In 2012 it was Aidan McCann and it could well be him again. However today could be Pat Lynch’s day he liable to do anything and todays anything could be a goal!

Will this be the end of the era for a superb Pats team or the start of Cloghers era?

They do say you have to lose one to win one. My gut says Clogher.
Best of luck to both teams!
