Talking Points

A couple of talking points that stem from this…

Top of the pile

Providing players to the panel Cooley, Dreadnots and Kilkerley are joint top with 3 from each club.

22 Clubs in total are represented.
4 junior, 21 Senior and 10 intermediate players are present.

Missing faces

You can’t help but feel the County Champions are under represented…Darren O’Hanlon has cited work commitments throw in Dessie Finnegan and Danny O’Connor but most notable absentee of all is Eoin O’Connor. With him involved we’re certain for automatic promotion out of Division 4. Simple as that.

Pepe Smyth is still recovering from a knee injury so he misses out Gerry Hoey and Cian Doyle are reportedly long term patients aswell.

Also, Where did Bevan Duffy go? our number one midfielder last season. Vanished.
Tons of unanswered questions there.

Competition for places

The questions might be answered in the depth and competition for places built up over the winter.
I’ll be picking MY team later on in the week and looking through the list of players it will be very tough. There is very competitive nature in all sections…tons of lads with a hardworking attitude which leaves headaches everywhere for Colin Kelly in picking his team…after the previous paragraph this is a great complaint to have.
