The seasiders take on the Villagers first up in the Grove tonight.

Relegated from Division 1 and hampered with injuries its not been a great season for the Fechins but, they still have the capability to make it a season to remember.

The Mochtas will again look to Decky Byrne to keep them in contention either through free’s or general play and in two areas of the pitch full forward or around the middle.

You feel the Fechins have that edge but the Mochta’s have some nice young forwards to spring a surprise perhaps.

Next up will be the Joes and Finbarrs.

Reigning Junior champions the Finbarrs will be quite content to retain intermediate status without talisman William Woods. So the quarter tonight for them is bonus terrority. A nice place to be, no pressure and a freedom to cause problems.

The Joes are darker than dark horses for this intermediate title.

They have a nice blend of youth and experience combined with some serious scoring potential too. I can see this going only one way but knowing Togher that will suit them just fine.

Fechins and Joes

Fechins and Mochs drew 9 a piece
Joes won 2-19 to 2-4 over the Finbarrs
