Our hopes for next season have been dealt a massive blow (literally).

LouthandProud can reveal our star full forward Conor Grimes has emigrated.

The Glen Emmets man has departed for New Zealand and will miss the entire 2017 campaign.

At only 22, there is still plenty of time for him to return to the red and white number 14 jersey some day.

All the best Conor.
In the meantime, Colin kelly now has the headache of trying to fill that void at the edge of the square.

Who would you like to see Kelly replace him with?

Hardly the end of Louths season!!!as seen over the years with his club is just average at best!!!

A definite loss considering we aren’t blessed with an array of free scoring forwards. Felt he improved considerably last year and provided a good option in the forward line. Great to see Andy McDonnell back which is a great addition.

Old news!!!!!And personally think he’s over rated. As shown in Louth junior final v kevins.
