Ahead of the bank holiday weekend I’m looking for your help…
Does anyone out there possess footage of either Louth and Kildare game in the nineties?
The two most memorable games of that era….
91 in Drogheda, we shocked favourites Kildare’s in Micko’s first game in Charge.
95 in Newbridge, RTE had live coverage of the game or more like live coverage of the Colin Kelly Masterclass.
I’ve looked through youtube to no avail so I’m hoping you can help me!
Even if you point me in the right direction!

I remember it on Youtube too. It was put up by a poster called GaaBeo. He had many videos from the archive. No idea where it is gone now.
No problem. I definitely have 95 anyway.
Excellent. I’ll mail you Monday morning and arrange something!!
There’s a good change I have highlights of 95 on VHS is that is any good to you.
1995. Don’t ever remember it on You Tube. Again we where due to be well beaten by a Dermot Earley managed Kildare team who where expected to go very well that year. Colin Kelly scored about 8 pts that Sunday evening and it was one of the first live early rounds shown on TV. Not just as good as 1991 but a sweet memory also. Paul Kenny managed us and played a very big strong physical team.
Yes checked myself there, 1991 is gone off You Tube, was there last year as I showed it to my kids, it was about 10 mins of coverage from the Sunday Game. Probably my proudest day as a Louth supporter for past 35 years. The memory of Stefan hitting the back of the net will live with me for the rest of my life. The run up to the game was pleasing also and added to the victory, the Micko factor, Kildare after only been beaten in NFL final by the Dubs, Kildare wanted game played in Croker, Louth wouldn’t budge. Would not happen today. Probably the last big crowd in Drogheda ( 15,000 from what I remember )
