The Grand aul team to play for are out again
VERSUS Castleknock in the Clans Sunday 2.30pm
scouting report here
Colours:Blue and Yellow
Manager: Enda Murphy Former Kildare Goalkeepr
Location: Castleknock Dublin
Star Player Ciaran Kilkenny!
Luckily for the SOM he’s Still out of Action.
However this team packs a punch.
They beat Paul Flynn’s Fingallians in the Dublin decider and on top of that they’ve won the Leinster Junior Championship in 2012 and majority of that squad remains and evidently improved.
The main man to watch in Kilkenny’s Absence is Shane Boland….
Dublin U21 all-ireland winner this season he’ll be in their half forward line pulling the strings.
Another Star Player and Dublin U21 All-Ireland winner is Graham Hannigan.
The Impressive Full back and he’ll be given the onus task of picking up Crawley at the edge of the Square.
Louth Connection: Thomas Shields at right half back has a father from Cooley according to Jamie Farrell.
Verdict:
This is going to be the O’Mahony’s toughest test by far.
They’ll face a young, energetic side in Castleknck the reason I mention young is because the club was only formed in 1998!
The Dundalk men have the momentum and home advantage to do it though.
What also could be taken into consideration is last year, the Geraldines beat the Dublin Champions also.
Fortunately they usually keep it tight at the back and have various threats up front to do the business too so anything could happen on the day.
