Fellow Leinster compatriots come to Drogheda
They won too so it will be a real test but we knew that anyway.
Mighty Quinn
Even though he won’t be playing against us Quinn’s influence on Longford is still felt.
He has brought them up in standards down there since his return from Aussie Rules.
It is really apparent with his club Killoe, they have won numerous championships since his return too
and make up a bulk of this Longford team and squad.
Blues Brothers
Two sets of very good brothers on this current Longford team.
The returning McCormacks Sean and Padraig from Killoe Emmet og’s and the McGivneys David and James from County champions St Columba’s Mullinalaghta.
Keep it Country
Longford will be a real step up from Laois that for sure.
A tight country team that play with all the pride that suggests.
They are and should never be taken for granted. A few years ago they tanked our U21’s a lot of those lads will be playing for both sides Sunday. They’ll not fear us and our lads will be aware of their threat.
They’ll defend in numbers but they have busy and footballing forwards that could hurt us badly.
