Opinion: What Club Players do you want to see play O’Fiaich Cup for Louth?

by louthandproud on December 5, 2016

in County

This Sunday Louth get their 2017 preparations underway.

screen-shot-2016-12-05-at-11-46-08

With the semi Final of the O’Fiaich Cup versus Tyrone 1.30 Sunday in Crossmaglen.

Last year

The game is a repeat of last years final.
Where Tyrone beat us by 13 points
The gulf in class can be excused as majority of that red hand side did go on to win Ulster.

This year

Always nice to see Louth play superior opposition. We know Mickey Harte’s stance on competitions he enters he wants to win them all. So they’ll be taking it serious. Our lads have been to Fota Island as part of pre season so we’ll be finer tuned than normal.

Next year

I’ll have the usual Rookie Report next Monday but in the meanwhile leave the name of a panel you’d like to see in Red and White in 2017.

Jock’s. Mick fanning, without best full back in county, big/strong an pace something we have lacked in that position 4 years.
Also Paddy keenan a true warrior we are missing.
Sam mul for frees on his day can match anyone. Class act.

Big click up in Louth.some lads that just shouldn’t be there at all. Players that look good in a poor team or poor grade. Need to get players current and new bigger and stronger as that’s the modern game. Skill has gone downhill its all about super athletes these days
