I’ll pick my team to face Laois on Saturday, Can you pick yours?

Very tough team to pick but no holding back now.

Goalkeeper

Craig Lynch
Rationale:

Solid last week and even pulled off a decent save. He should find his targets in O’Moore a lot easier too.

Full Back Line

Pop, Paddy Reilly, Kevin Carr
Rationale:
Our most settled line on the field and going into a big game like this it is a no brainer. Reilly is the best man we have for Donie Kingston.

Sweeper

Derek Maguire
Rationale:
Wasn’t his influential self against Dublin we’ll need a big one from him Saturday.

Half Back Line

Decky Byrne, James Stewart,Anthony Williams
Rationale:
James Stewart comes in at 6. Solid and more suited centrally. Liam Dullaghan if fit, could start either. Decky’s absence was felt against Dublin and Williams energy is a key weapon for us going forward.
Update:Reports are O’Loughlin is out but why not play Bevan in there anyway and allow Andy the freedom of half forward

Midfield

Bevan Duffy, Tommy Durnin
Rationale:
Tommy Durnin is having a fine season deserves his start and will look to pick up Meaney in the middle. While Bevan moves off the wing to solely match up with John O’Loughlin in what could be a mouthwatering clash!
Update:Reports are O’Loughlin is out but why not play Bevan in there anyway and allow Andy the freedom of half forward

Half Forward Line

Andy McDonnell,Pepe Smith, Conall McKeever
Rationale:
Pepe had his best game in Red and White last week not only on the scoring front but switching the play with good foot passes. Andy closer to goals will not only provide energy, but bolster our scoring options which is badly needed. Conall suffered in Drogheda last week and it wasn’t like him he should be back to his best under the floodlights.
Update:Reports are O’Loughlin is out but why not play Bevan in there anyway and allow Andy the freedom of half forward

Full Forward Line

Jim McEneaney, Ryan Burns
Rationale:
Crilly wasn’t even togged out last week and Eoin O’Connor came on in the middle so Jim is still our best option at full forward. He will be chopping at the bit to get the Dubs game out of his system.
Burnsey starts for me, but Ronan Holcroft and Sam Mulroy are hot on his heels.
