My greatest Louth player of all time would have to be Stefan White.
Well, he was my favourite player growing up anyway!

I have to select from the players I have seen playing which maybe unfair to the greats who donned the Louth jersey particularly in the 1950s but here goes. My top 10 in no particular order: 1) Stefan White 2) Colin Kelly 3) Stephen Melia 4) Seamus O’Hanlon 5) Paddy Keenan 6) Ray Finnegan 7) Aaron Hoey 8) Nicky Malone 9) Darren Clarke 10) JP Rooney. Louth GOAT is Paddy Keenan
I played with some great players over the years but Stephen Melia was the pick,an inspirational player, he treated every game with a fantastic attitude, and every one who played along side him knew they where playing with a legend.
Stefan White. He’d get you a goal. Pure flair.
Remember a drop-kicked point from 40 yards against Meath in Croke Park in 98.
Legend.
Stephen Melia.
Quite simply gave the best he could possibly give in the red!
Nicky Malone
Played in pretty much every position apart from keeper.
Hard as nails but had the skills too.
